Tasting Ramon Allones Absolutos Limited Edition 2024. There are moments in the life of an aficionado that are simply magical. And it was just such a moment for me when I received the invitation to the world premiere of the Ramon Allones Absolutos Limited Edition 2024 received. An event that not only celebrated a cigar, but also the passion behind it. Each participant received a total of three examples of this exceptional vitola - two of them in an exclusive leather case from S.T. Dupontin the iconic electrifying green color of Ramon Allones. The metal base of the case was engraved with the details of the evening - a true collector's item! A great surprise! But at the event itself, my cigar remained untouched - no draw, no glow, just pure anticipation. Because everything had to be just right for the perfect moment. And that moment came the next morning - before seven in the morning!

First impressions: Craftsmanship perfection with teething troubles

Ramon Allones Absolutos Limited Edition 20245, the vitola is called "Nuevos" (length 156 mm, ring gauge 49).

The roll quality? A dream. Not too tight, not too loose - just right. The draw resistance? Perfect, from start to finish. However, there was one small flaw: a heavy crooked burn at the beginning, which I had to correct with the flame. But after about ten minutes, the problem was history and the cigar only burned slightly wavy from then on. This is no fault of the cigar - it had practically just arrived in Switzerland! A little rest and acclimatization will do it good. I am now continuing to enjoy my Ramon Allones Absolutos Limited Edition 2024 tasting.

Tasting notes: Surprising and with a fine character

At the event itself, my cigar remained untouched - no draw, no glow, just pure anticipation. Because everything had to be just right for the perfect moment. And that moment came the next morning - before seven in the morning!

The very first puffs when tasting Ramon Allone's Absolutos Limited Edition 2024 revealed an exciting variety of aromas: gently peppery, slightly acidic, with a salty and pleasantly surprising sensation on the tongue - as if you had tasted a pinch of sea salt. Over time, beautiful wood and peat nuances were added, accompanied by a subtle nuttiness. A very harmonious balance in the first half!

My accompanying drink? A strong Turkish coffee. And what can I say? Perfect harmony. The roasted aromas of the coffee and the spicy notes of the cigar literally danced with each other.

Retronasal: An explosion - literally! My tasting of Ramon Allone's Absolutos Limited Edition 2024 picks up speed!

The retail price is CHF 45 per cigar, which corresponds to a price of CHF 900 for a box of 20 cigars.

I tried the famous ZiZo R+ Technology and experienced a real taste boost! However... er... not only did my nose explode, but also my head. For me it was too muchso I left it alone and enjoyed the cigar the conventional way - and that was absolutely sufficient.

Second half: Character development with a small dropout

Each participant received a total of 3 copies of the cigar at the event. Two of them were in an exclusive leather case from S.T. Dupont, in the electrifying green color of Ramon Allones. The case has a metal base on which the details of the evening were engraved. It was a very special surprise!

The glow of the cigar was excellent up to this point. But then, for a few minutes, an unexpected twist: it suddenly went out and tasted a little spicy and bitter during this phase. But shortly afterwards? Everything was perfect again. Nothing to worry about - another sign that it still needs a little time to mature.

The last part of the cigar surprised with an astringent effect - the mouth became slightly dry, which lowered the perception in this short phase. Here the wood tones became more present, accompanied by a little more pepper and nut. The salt disappeared almost completely, while a gentle floral note joined in.

Conclusion from tasting Ramon Allones Absolutos Limited Edition 2024: A promising cigar with ageing potential

This cigar has an exciting future ahead of it. It was already a delight now, but I am sure that in a few years it will develop into an even more complex beauty. That's why my other two specimens will remain safely tucked away in the elegant S.T. Dupont case - and of course in the humidor. I'm already looking forward to seeing you again in two years' time!
