Partagás Línea Maestra: The Maestro, Origen and Rito formats.
The world premiere took place in Bulgaria
On 11 July 2024 in Sofia, Bulgaria, the Habanos distributor Kaliman Caribe, which is responsible for 12 Balkan countries, opened the Línea Maestra, the Partagás brand's most exclusive line to date. On this occasion, Habanos enthusiasts and especially lovers of the Partagás brand came together for a festive gala dinner at the Boyana Residence in Sofia.
The formats of the Partagás Línea Maestra
This new Partagás Línea Maestra comprises three vitolas, each celebrating a particular aspect of the Partagás tradition: the origin (Origen, 46 ring gauge, 154 mm length), the ritual of savouring (Rito, 52 ring gauge, 168 mm length) and the masterful craftsmanship (Maestro, 56 ring gauge, 132 mm length) that goes into the production of these cigars.

The MAESTRO format: 56 ring gauge, 132 mm length

The MAESTRO format: The box of 20 costs CHF 1,400.00
The three formats not only impress with their innovative appearance, but also with their refined flavour and elegant presentation. A special feature of the new line is the so-called „tapered head“ of the cigars, as well as the stylish blue colour scheme of the packaging.
What is a „tapered head“?
A „tapered head“ in cigars refers to a special head shape in which the end of the cigar that is placed in the mouth gradually narrows. This shape gives the cigar a conical tip and differs from the traditional, rather flat or round head shape.
The „tapered head“ not only offers a special aesthetic design, but also influences the smoking experience. As the tip is narrower, the smoke is concentrated during the draw, which is often perceived as more intense and flavourful. Cigars with this shape, such as Torpedo or Belicoso formats, are known for their precise and elegant smoke development.
I have already tested all three formats

The three Partagás Línea Maestra formats - Origen, Rito and Maestro - offer a similar taste experience with deep, complex flavours. Especially the Maestro in the shorter format impressed me, as this is where the intensity of the flavours really came into their own. However, all the cigars were still in the „sick phase“, so it is difficult to make a final judgement. I reckon they need at least three years of ageing to reach their full potential. My tip: buy a box (or all three) and test them at regular intervals. Make a note of your impressions to experience the changes over time - that way you can really discover the subtle nuances of these masterpieces.
100% Tobacco from the municipality of San Luis

The ORIGEN format: 46 ring gauge, 154 mm length

The 20-piece box of ORIGEN costs CHF 1,240.00
It is also worth noting that the Línea Maestra is the first in the Habanos S.A. portfolio to be made from 100 % tobacco from the municipality of San Luis in the Vuelta Abajo region of Pinar del Río - the heart of Cuban tobacco culture. This gives the cigars a complex flavour that preserves the characteristic Partagás style while offering a new level of sophistication.
How much does the Partagás Línea Maestra cost?
The prices for a box of 20 cigars are as follows:
- Partagás Línea Maestra - Maestro: 1’400 CHF
- Partagás Línea Maestra - Origen: 1’240 CHF
- Partagás Línea Maestra - Rito: 1’540 CHF

The RITO format: 52 ring gauge, 168 mm length

The 20-piece box of the RITO costs CHF 1,540.00
