New energy at ImpCor: Lajos Horváth on cigars, passion and a breath of fresh air
„Hello, I'm Lajos Horváth, from ImpCor.“ That's how simply he introduces himself - and yet there is a whole lot of enthusiasm, experience and culture of enjoyment behind this name. Lajos is the new sales representative at ImpCor, a Swiss cigar importer that is currently on the move. „I want to bring a breath of fresh air into the company,“ he says with a smile. „And I'm delighted to have been given this opportunity.“

10 years Feria del Tabaco - pleasure meets passion
A unique in-house exhibition in Zurich: MANUEL'S brings together cigar importers, manufacturers and aficionados for an enjoyable meeting of a special kind. For ten years now, the Feria del Tabaco cigar lovers come together in Zurich. What once began as a small in-house exhibition is now a fixed date in the calendar of the Swiss cigar scene. Numerous importers present their exclusive cigars, accessories and new products. For two days, the city is transformed into MANUEL'S into a lively forum of enjoyment: talks, tastings, innovations and encounters - all centred around the cigar. An anniversary that is not only celebrated, but savoured.
Lajos Horváth - He is no newcomer to the world of flavours.
From barista to cigar ambassador
Lajos is no newcomer to the world of flavours. On the contrary: „I was a bartender for almost 17 years,“ he says. „Then five years in the coffee industry, as a barista and academy manager at a large Swiss roastery. Product development, training, everything. For me, cigars are the logical progression - the pinnacle of enjoyment.“ I nod my head in admiration, he laughs and continues: „That was always my goal - to work in this industry at some point. Now the time has come. And I promise you: You'll be hearing a lot more from me in the future.“
Three new cigars - three characters
Lajos will be presenting three exciting cigar lines at its stand - each with its own personality.
La Bucanera. „This is our new line - or rather: our new cigar,“ he explains proudly. „I'm here today with three formats. Visitors can try the Toro - that's our mild, creamy version.“ La Bucanera is made in Nicaragua and is particularly appealing to those who prefer a light, creamy smoke.
Fratello Arlequin. „This is a box-pressed Robusto with a Connecticut wrapper from Ecuador,“ explains Lajos. „A nice balance - creamy, round, with a gentle spiciness. Ideal for beginners or afternoon smokers.“
Brun del Ré. And then he gets serious: „The LANZA is a Lancero and has real character. A puro from Costa Rica.» The beautiful cigar is medium to strong - and made for connoisseurs. «You have to treat it like a beautiful woman,“ he says with a grin.
Inspire and discover new things
Lajos sees his role not only as selling, but also as explaining and inspiring: „I want to show people how diverse cigars can be. It's not about smoking just one brand, but about discovering new things. Every cigar tells a story - about the country, climate, people and passion.“
His credo: taste, experience, compare - and enjoy.
Lajos Horváth is more than just a salesman - he is a passionate connoisseur who has consistently followed his own path: from bartender to barista to cigar ambassador. With his expertise and friendly openness, he brings exactly what has always characterised ImpCor: a breath of fresh air, authentic enthusiasm and new ideas.
