InterTabac 24 exclusive: Between cigars and comic book heroes: S.T. Dupont delights with Joker, Game of Thrones and Padrón
InterTabac is in full swing and I'm standing in the heart of luxury, surrounded by sparkling accessories that take the breath away, and not just for cigar lovers. I meet Jörg Werker, the Sales Director of S.T. Dupont. After the first few sentences, I know that this is not just any stand, but the stage for the crème de la crème of cigar accessories.

Perfectly coordinated colors with Padrón
"We're celebrating 60 years of Padrón this year," Jörg opens. "And of course we have the perfect accessories to go with it. Take a look at these!" He points to the new collection, which is perfectly color-coordinated with the famous Padrón cigars - a firework of craftsmanship: the classic Ligne 2 lighter, the Le Grand and the slim Slimmy. All bear the Padrón logo and, as a special highlight, a map of Cuba on the back. As a cigar fan, I'm immediately drawn in - not only does it look stylish, it also has a history.
"We're really proud of this collaboration," Jörg continues. "And by the way, there should actually be a matching ashtray here, but it's still stuck in the Paris traffic jam." He grins and I have to laugh. Yes, even in luxury life, things don't always run smoothly.
Game of Thrones collection
But enough of the traffic jam! Jörg leads me on to one of the highlights: the Game of Thrones collection. "We have a cooperation with Warner Bros. and this is really only for the patient," he explains as he picks up a lighter. "Six to eight months delivery time - but it's a one-off. And for fans of the series, there's the perfect set for each of the five houses."
"A real eye-catcher," I say and can well imagine how many collectors would jump for joy. The collector's set with lighter, writing instrument and letter opener in particular looks like it's straight out of Westeros. Jörg nods and leads me on.
The new Joker and Harlequin
"But that's not all," he says and presents me with the next display case. The Joker can be seen here in all his glory - also part of the Haute Creation collection. "After our collaboration with Warner Bros. went so well, we also developed this series. Here you can see the Joker lighter together with a matching writing instrument and a bronze figure. A real collector's item, priced at 65,000 euros. -"That's really art," I say, impressed. "It's amazing how much detail goes into a lighter like this." -"Absolutely," Jörg confirms. "And the Harlequin set is in the same price segment, by the way. A real must-have for fans of the films and collectors."
The watches of Frank Muller
It feels like I'm walking through a gallery, but instead of paintings, it's lighters and writing implements that light up here. "But that's not all. Here, look - this is our lighter in collaboration with Frank Muller, the Swiss watch manufacturer. Lighter and watch in one!" -"What?" I exclaim in surprise. "So, if someone asks what time it is, I have to get my lighter out first?" Jörg laughs. "Exactly! And the whole thing starts at 55,000 euros. We'll add another 10,000 for the colorful version." I can't help but smile and say: "Bargain, isn't it?"
Notre Dame
Let's move on - next, Jörg introduces me to a truly extraordinary collection. "After the Notre Dame fire, we developed a tribute to the cathedral," he explains. "Lighter and fountain pen with gargoyles watching over Notre Dame." -"Wow, that's not just a product, it's a work of art," I reply, fascinated by the intricate details.
New cigar cutter with which you grow
Finally, we come to the real highlights for cigar lovers: new cigar cutters. "We have developed a brand new drill," Jörg explains enthusiastically. "It has two different cuts, and when you extend the blade, it simply stops. No more annoying re-pushing." -"Very practical," I say, "especially if you don't want to look like a beginner."
"Speaking of beginners," Jörg continues, "here is our cutter with clip. Perfect for cigar beginners who are still unsure how much to cut. You simply push the cigar up to the clip and bang - perfect cut. Later, when you're a pro, you can simply move the clip." -"So an accessory that grows with you? Sounds good!" Jörg nods and shows me the slim cutter, which already looks like a piece of jewelry.

At the end of our tour, only one thing remains to be said: The S.T. Dupont stand at InterTabac is a treasure trove for lovers of fine indulgence. Here, everything revolves around the perfect accessory, lighters that are not just tools but true works of art, and partnerships that tell stories - be it Padrón , Game of Thrones or the Joker.
I say goodbye to Jörg with one last look at the sparkling display cases. InterTabac has once again shown me that there is so much more to discover behind the pleasure of a cigar - and S.T. Dupont is the perfect proof of this.
