Hoyo de Monterrey San Luis opens the story of this unique evening, on which Germany became the stage for a global premiere. On November 12, Habanos, S.A. presented the new Le Hoyo de San Luis for the first time worldwide - a vitola that enriches the traditional Le Hoyo series with an extraordinary addition. The exclusive launch took place in the renowned Alexander Kunz Theatre in Saarbrücken and was organized by 5TH Avenue Products Trading-GmbH, the official distributor for Germany, Austria and Poland. More than 300 invited guests - retailers, international media, distributors and aficionados - took part in this special moment.
And something else really unique happened at this event: I was actually able to persuade my wife - a convinced non-smoker - to come along this time. And what can I say? She simply loved the event! (...but she still hasn't smoked a cigar...)

A new vitola for the Le Hoyo series

With Le Hoyo de San Luis, the legendary series grows with a 52 × 160 mm vitola. The line is synonymous worldwide with aromatic finesse, elegant complexity and precision craftsmanship - qualities that the new addition also embodies. Hoyo de Monterrey San Luis is an elegant cigar.

„Totalmente a mano“, made entirely by hand, exclusively with tobacco from San Luis in the Vuelta Abajo, the cigar blend represents the characteristic San Luis elegance for which Hoyo de Monterrey is famous. The production designation is „Fragancias“. The vitola is initially available in boxes of 10 and 25 cigars; a box of three in aluminum tubos will follow later.

An evening to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Alexander Kunz Theatre

The world premiere coincided with the 15th anniversary of the Alexander Kunz Theatre - a stage that combines haute cuisine with top international artistry. Michelin-starred chef Alexander Kunz served an exclusive four-course menu, accompanied by performances by renowned artists:

In Your Hands (Russia) with an award-winning cradle act
Duo Sweet Darkness (France) with aerial hoop performance
Angara (Mongolia), known from Cirque du Soleil „Kurios“, with an outstanding contortion act
Maverik Niemen (Italy) with a precise Rola Rola act
Ivresse (France) with an aerial silk performance created especially for the anniversary season
Hand-to-hand artists Resurrection from Cuba
the award-winning Kevin Richter Troupe (Hungary)

The evening was hosted by entertainer Kay Scheffel. As guest of honor, 5TH Avenue Managing Director Christoph Puszkar welcomed the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, Her Excellency Juana Martínez González.

The first puff of the new Le Hoyo de San Luis offered a sensory experience that clearly revealed the brand's signature: Balance, aromatic precision and the subtle nuances for which the Le Hoyo range has been appreciated for decades.
