MANUEL'S Feria del Tabaco in Zurich invites cigar lovers to discover the world of cigars at an exclusive in-house exhibition. Numerous cigar importers present their treasures over two days - an event that takes place directly after InterTabac every year.

A look into the past: the history of Cuervo y Sobrinos
Claude begins with an anecdote that sounds like a good book: "You know, Cuervo y Sobrinos was originally a famous Cuban watch brand." The history of this brand is like a journey through time - founded in Havana in the 1860s, it was the star of the luxury watch sky in the 1950s. No less than Winston Churchill and Ernest Hemingway were regular customers! They even had boutiques in Paris and Munich! But then came the Cuban revolution, and the golden age of the brand seemed to fade.

But - and here comes the exciting part - today Cuervo y Sobrinos is celebrating a brilliant comeback! "The watches are now made in Switzerland," says Claude, "of course with the finest Swiss precision and in an irresistible vintage Latin American style." But that's not all: these watches are so luxurious that they even come in a humidor. Yes, you heard right - a humidor! How cool is that?
The cigar innovation: Cuervo y Sobrinos
Now comes the absolute cracker! As it is no longer permitted to fill these humidors with Cuban cigars, the clever minds at Cuervo y Sobrinos have come up with something very special: "We simply make our own cigars!" Voilà - the Cuervo y Sobrinos cigar was born. A beautiful, mild cigar made from the finest Nicaraguan tobacco, elegantly wrapped in luxurious pillows. It combines the best of two worlds: Cuban passion and Swiss perfection. Makes your mouth water, doesn't it?

Even more delicacies: Bricktoberfest
But wait, that's not all! Claude has even more in store. The next surprise: Bricktoberfest! A limited edition line of cigars from Brickhouse, especially for the Oktoberfest - how brilliant is that? Strong in taste, perfect for the cool autumn air and a real premiere in Switzerland. Even better: this cigar has been specially designed to go perfectly with a cool beer. A beer lover's heart will beat faster!

And then comes a real gem: the Dias de Gloria Brazil by AJ Fernandez
This version of the popular Dias de Gloria features a Brazilian Matafina wrapper leaf, which forms a sensual combination with the Nicaraguan tobacco. "Perfect for fans of medium-bodied and aromatic blends," explains Claude. Who could resist?

Claude's tips for cigar fans
Naturally, I want to know from Claude what recommendations he has for us cigar lovers. His answer comes straight from the gun: "For the beer lovers among you - grab the Bricktoberfest before it sells out! If you like it aromatic, you'll love the Dias de Gloria Brazil. And for those who prefer it milder, the Cuervo y Sobrinos is an absolute must."
I say goodbye to Claude with a satisfied smile on my face and a delicious cigar in my hand. If you want to secure these treasures for yourself, you should hurry - they are in high demand and could be out of stock faster than you can say "humidor"!
