The Davidoff Year of the Dragon Limited Edition 2024 delights aficionados and collectors worldwide with an extensive selection of products based around the sign of the zodiac. The launch marks the first time Davidoff has completed an entire zodiac cycle, which began with the Snake in 2013. In 2024, Davidoff is launching a limited-edition Double Corona cigar made from eight different tobaccos, a special pipe tobacco blend, a cutter, an ashtray, a Masterpiece Humidor, and another very limited-edition Gran Toro cigar, available exclusively to valued customers of Davidoff of Geneva since 1911 flagship stores.

The limited Double Corona consists of 8 different tobaccos from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, Mexico and Ecuador, which together have an age of 60 years. The cigar surprises aficionados with an uncut foot, which means that a good 2 cm are enjoyed at the beginning without the wrapper. This requires extreme precision not only when rolling, but also when blending.

Despite the lack of wrapper, the initial taste is very pleasant and demonstrates high craftsmanship: The master blenders have managed to create a fascinating change in flavor once the wrapper is added, adding to the experience with additional depth and complexity of flavors. The foot picks up the untamed personality of the dragon so in the flavor. Visually, it depicts the fire-breathing dragon.

The Double Corona starts with notes of earth, wood and herbs. Once the wrapper takes over, the flavor changes to rich notes of roasted nuts, cream and subtle licorice. Chinese oil painter Zhang Zhaoying created his vision of the legend of the two dragons, and mosaicist Sika Viagbo brought it to life on the humidor with a remarkable mosaic of hundreds of pieces of glass, mirrors and brushed brass handcrafted in 200 hours. The humidor is numbered and filled with 88 Gran Toro cigars. Only 25 pieces are available worldwide.
